So I am really new to this whole blog thing, and in all honesty have never read anyone else’s blog, or expect anyone to read mine but I love to write, and talk about Jesus so I figured this would be one way to do it!
I love the church, and the community it brings. It is through the community, and the meeting of believers that we are empowered to share the gospel, and further the bride through encouraging one another, and serving. Yet often our lives tend to be a balancing act. On one hand we have our Faith: the life we live that allows God to be God in us and through us, it can almost become a selfish thing, yet it is the very foundation we must build our lives upon as Christians. Then we have Hope: the expectant desire for our savior to return and make not only all things right, but also all things new. Lastly we have Love. Love is different and more important than the other two; for it is the only one that will last. We have hope, and faith because we are not in the presence of the Lord… in a sense they are the variables connected to the absence of complete relationship with God. But when we exist in heaven there will be no need for Hope or faith, for both will have come to fruition, and our only response will be to love before a righteous God.
I know that often times in my life, whether I am doing schoolwork, talking with friends, or just passing someone by I forget to Love. I have MY faith, and MY hope… but when it comes to Love, I miss it, because that might actually cost me something. Love is the greatest of these, because it will last, but also because it is what drew us to God in the first place. Without His love we would be dead. I believe that Joy is the evidence of a change, and love is the action derived from a change.
As believers we must pray for the love of Christ, so that when we have the chance to pour out onto others they see our Father and turn to Him. True Love comes full circle and encompasses all.
